Well, if this works then this LJ posting client for WinMo was worth installing. It's been a fairly quiet weekend. The CRAZY winter storm we were warned about wasn't as bad as expected. We got about 2" of snow instead of the 4"+ they initially forecasted. It did get as cold as they predicted though. It's expected to get even colder yet. It's been a screwy winter so far. It will be crazy cold for a few days or so. Then it will be warm (relatively speaking) for a few days. Then stupid cold again.

We did purchase a Costco membership. Something we had been considering off and on lately. So we made our first trip to Costco yesterday. I think it's been over a decade since I stepped foot into a Sam's Club so it was basically a whole new experience for me. It was a Saturday and, as expected, it was crazy busy. We bought some things. Had lunch at a new "asian fusion" fast(er) food place called "Pei Wei". It's apparently owned by the same company/chain as PF Chang's. The food was good. Definitely better than "Noodles & Co." Not sure if it's a new concept or just new to our area.

In other news, we heard that my brother was offered an upper level (executive) level position with a local non-profit media organization. Which definitely means he and his fiancee will be staying for awhile.

I thinkk this will end it here for now. We've got to set the table for dinner. Shelly is making her yummy Portugese kale soup.
