Swampy

It's been hot in Minneapolis the past week or so. By "hot" I mean highs in the upper-90s Fahrenheit with high relative humidity levels. And, the recently repaired air conditioning in my car gave out after working long enough to get me through the last heat wave a couple weeks ago. My morning commute is OK but the afternoon commute is hard. Actually, it's OK as long as the car keeps moving, but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way during rush hour.

So, I stew in my own juices. By the time I get home, I'm completely wiped out because of this. On Friday I got home from work and immediately changed into shorts (I've tried to avoid wearing shorts to work on Fridays) and a t-shirt. The thermostat in our house is set somewhere between 76 and 78 depending on the time of day. I was still sweating profusely for about 10 minutes after I got home. I felt like I had FIRE coming out of my pores. Ha!

Emailed the dealer to try and get my car back in to get it looked at again. Though, if the cost of repair is high enough, I may just say screw it. I'm almost to the end of the road with this car in terms of major repairs. Regular maintenance to keep it running and repairs that affect my safety are one thing, but at this point I'm not so willing to pour more money into something like the AC.

I may just sweat it out for the remainder of the summer.

I almost forgot, the other day I was in my office doing something (probably playing "Neverwinter Nights") and Julie came in and said she wanted to look at baby Julie pictures. So, I pulled up the folder on my wife's computer from my computer and we started going through pictures where I happened upon this oldie (but cutie):

Punk rock girl!

I love that t-shirt. Sophie might not be big enough to wear it yet. I wonder where that t-shirt is anyway?
