You know, I never expected to get rick rolled while listening to Minnesota Public Radio. But, I guess anything is possible in this day and age.

I'm driving along to work yesterday morning and Future Tense comes on (it airs during "Morning Edition" here). They were talking about Songza (a new online music sharing site). (BTW, that Songza site seems like a nifty idea, I need to remember to check it out.) Then, out of blue, I got rick rolled listening to the radio! Yes, they had a short piece about "rick rolling". They even played a snippet of an interview with Rick Astley and his reaction to this bit of Internet phenomenon which has, apparently, bled into the real world.

Hah!
Saw your post on Twitter. That's hilarious. I welcome being rick rolled lately-- kinda like the song and all it's kitschy splendor. Is that horrible? :P

Re: Hah!
It wasn't a bad song when it was originally playing on the radio. I remember it from back then. But, this whole rick rolling thing is just crazy. I got rick rolled once to a site that kept putting up pop-up after pop-up. I couldn't even quit my browser. I finally had to go into task manager and kill my Firefox process.

That was probably the worst one I've encountered.

Hah. That is a bit obscene, I'll agree to that. Memes are funny until they become abusive, pretty much; but MPR rick rolling it's listeners is just amazing.

Rick Rolling even made it on to BBC yesterday. They had a video link up and everything. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7325280.stm
